Painted 400Working with Schools and Organisations

The Dramatherapy Space curently works with primary and secondary schools and Pupil Referral Units. Providing dramatherapy for young people, but also engaging staff and families in a creative and reflective process. Staff Reflection Groups and Peer-Support Groups provide a supportive space for groups to reflect on systems, processes and relationships that are active within the organisation. Such systems and relationships strongly determine the behaviour of students and staff alike, therefore an awareness of such processes allows for insights and real change to occur.

The Dramatherapy Space has been involved in setting up a 12 week assessment and evaluation programme at a Pupil Referral Unit in London, which supports students through the transition from exclusion to reintegration. Work with a Child Bereavement Charity has included the delivery of an annual therapetuic residential event for bereaved families. Participatory and creative workshops can be provided for organisations and schools wishing to bring therapeutic thinking and tools into their work.
